This type of stacked globe profile is called "gourd" shaped. I actually really like working these on the wheel. This was not built with stacked pieces that are fused together, but shaped entirely in one sitting on the wheel. I usually start with a rounded profile and then start collaring in the middle.
Fired at cone six, it has a full dip of Willow Whip with an additional dip of Glossy Clear. It's interesting to see the blue that showed up in combining these glazes. This vase is approximately 3.5 inches in diameter and around 5 inches tall.
