This little chalice has such great movement around the base. Fired at cone six, it received two layers of Glossy Teal (that I mixed myself) and the the top got a dip in High Tide, which ran and created pooling of color around the base. Some of the glaze broke off when it was taken off the kiln shelf, so the edges got smoothed out with a Dremel. The added texture makes me think of seaweed at the bottom of the ocean. Cup measures approximately 3 inches in diameter and holds 4 ounces.
